Nikon Photo Gallery is showing the 50 best photographs from the Nikon Calendar 2019 Contest.

The contest is for all lovers of photography who use Nikon cameras and both amateur and professional photographers are eligible to take part. For this year’s 10th competition we have chosen the motto “Not the things but the moments make the world beautiful” that we borrowed from the great Czech writer Karel Čapek. The total 588 photographers, who submitted 1 406 photographs, took part in the contest. The competition took place on www.nikon-kalendar.cz from 1 August until 15 October 2018. The photographs for this exhibition and calendar were selected by a professional jury chaired by Mr Stanislav Pokorný, member of the Association of Professional Photographers of the Czech Republic and curator of Nikon Photo Gallery.

The fifty photographs at the exhibition are for sale at www.nikon-kalendar.cz. The proceeds will be donated to the project 1000 statečných, which is part of the foundation Národ dětem and will be used to fund optimization studies in the field of pediatric oncology and hematology.
