The contest is for all lovers of photography who use Nikon cameras and both amateur and professional photographers are eligible to take part. This year, the 9th year of the contest, is dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the founding of Nikon Corporation and the theme of the contest, NIKON CALENDAR 2018 – 100 years with Nikon, is connected to this important event. The total 882 photographers, who submitted 2 579 photographs, took part in the contest. The competition took place on www.nikon-kalendar.cz. from the beginning of September until 31 October 2017. With regard to the important Nikon anniversary happening this year, it was also possible to submit photographs taken with older analogue cameras. The photographs for this exhibition and calendar were selected by a professional jury chaired by Mr Stanislav Pokorný, member of the Association of Professional Photographers of the Czech Republic and curator of Nikon Photo Gallery.

The fifty photographs at the exhibition are for sale at www.nikon-kalendar.cz,. The proceeds will be donated to the ARPIDA Centre to facilitate their clients’ trip to the seaside in 2018.
